It's like camping – Intense.

So, Sonic is good. I think those of us who live in the South can agree that there’s something really nice about slushes and chili cheese coneys and the other fatty, gross things in life.

Driving today through Peabody, MA (just outside Boston, where I’m vacationing) we passed the first Sonic in New England – which apparently opened last week. This Sonic is open from 6AM-2AM daily. The line, is continuously out of the parking lot, around a back road and spilling out onto the high way for about a quarter mile, causing a mile or so of backup. They have a cop stationed at the entrance to monitor and regulate traffic. This is intense. Every Southerner in New England must be flocking to get a taste of that lovely fake cheese and those thin, square, but delicious hamburgers.

It does make me wonder, what is really important to these people? Memories? Nostalgia? Grease? Health? Boston? Or the single burning question that crossed my head when I saw that mile long line:

Will they have enough tater tots?
